The Animal-Free Safety Assessment Collaboration (AFSA) is a global coalition of scientific leaders working to advance the acceptance and use of animal-free safety science as a gold standard across regulatory frameworks all over the world. In March 2023, the organization announced the launching of its latest efforts, a master class in animal-free safety assessment for cosmetics. This class is designed to educate and support scientists in the field of cosmetic and chemical safety assessment and regulation. There are 3 phases and 7 modules to the master class providing a vast amount of information regarding methods for obtaining animal-free data and assessing it.
If you’re interested in learning more about this master class, be sure to check out the AFSA page. And for more information on the latest developments in human-relevant models, stay tuned to our Non-Animal Testing Page for future animal-free science updates.
